I love this 2006 letter from Kurt Vonnegut to Xavier High School students. The assignment by their English Teacher, Ms. Lockwood, was to write a persuasive letter to their favorite author asking them to visit the school. No authors visited and only Vonnegut replied. This was six months before he died.
